About Victoria De Crescenzo
“The road not taken” is not just a poem by Robert Frost. For Victoria De Crescenzo.
it is the reminder that indecision and going down the path of least resistance will never result in a life of adventure and passion.
Born and raised in California, she knew her dreams would take her on a path unknown. Always self-reliant, she put herself through Dental Hygiene school and made the move to Des Moines Iowa for a job opportunity. It was there, at a dental convention, that she met Russell Bevan. Upon his encouragement, she moved with him to Minneapolis where the two continued their love affair with each other and wine.
In 2001, the two decided drinking wine simply wasn’t enough and they made the move from Minneapolis to California, where he was also born and raised. A few years later they jumped into winemaking with both feet (literally!) when they created Bevan Cellars and crushed their first vintage in 2005. Through blood, sweat and tears their determination prevailed. The recent acquisition of 41 acres in Oakville and seven 100 point wines are not the end result of hard work, but the beginning of an even greater adventure.
